This knowledgebase will serve as a checklist of items that need to be actioned in response to the COVID-19 directive from the Office of Catholic Schools.  On April 13th, schools were informed that they should change their current grade scale to match a similar COVID scale.  This is in line with directives from ISBE.  This guide will assist you in performing the necessary steps, up to running report cards for end-of year.  Please review this guide online every so often, as guidance from OCS may change or new directive emerge. 

 

COVID-19 Response Checklist

 

1) Store Your Grades

You should Store Grades prior to changing Grade Scales to COVID Scales.  This preserves existing grades in prior terms.  (i.e T1, T2 or Q1, Q2..etc) You can locate stored grades by following this path: 

Start Page > Student Selection > Historical Grades  Confirm you see grades under the 2019-2020 School Year.

 

2) Change Grade Scales

After you Store Grades, you can then change the Grade Scale assigned to each class secction.  

 

3) Update Quick Lookup Preferences

In order to avoid confusion, please update the Quick Lookup Preferences so that Historical Grades show up for the prior terms (T1,T2 or Q1, Q2...etc), leaving the active term set to Current Grades.

 

4) Recalculate Final Grades

Teachers will need to update the Grades from their Gradebook.  

 

5) Report Card

This is the usual report card process, we have simply added the two reports to simplify the process for you Below are the names of 2 report cards added to the system that will make printing report cards easy and are readily available.

6) Greensheets
