Powerschool Admin - Final Grade Change

This article helps Powerschool Admins change the Final Grade for each student by modifying Historical Grades.  Powerschool Admins have the ability to Store Grades to make a copy of the Grades Entered in the Gradebook by Teachers.  Once Admins have Stored Grades then the Historical Grades can be manually changed.  Please keep in mind that Gradebook can only be changed by Teachers, Admins DO NOT have the ability to change the Gradebook.  To change a students Final Grade you will want to follow these instructions: 

Final Grade Change

To be able to change a student's final grade you will need to have Admin access to Powerschool.  Once signed in you will need to select the student and change the grade under Historical Grades.  You must store grades before proceeding.  If you are not sure how to store grades, please refer to the Stored Grades article or reach out to the SBTC Powerschool Help Desk.  To change a student's Final Grade: 

1) From Start Page select a Student Record

2) Once you have selected the student record you will need to click on "Historical Grades" on the Left Navigation bar.

3) On the Historical Grades page you will want to click on the Final Grade that needs to be changed.  If you do not see the Final Grade, please Store Grades.

4) The Edit Stored Grade will display.  Scroll down and change the following: 

• Grade
• Percent
• GPA Points (if applicable)
• Teacher Comment (if applicable)

5) Once you have finished updating the Final Grade, click on Submit to save changes.

After you have saved the changes you made please proceed to re-print report cards or progress report.  Please note that all grade changes made in Historical Grades has a Change History timestamp.  This helps control what was changed and by who.  

NOTE: If you are running report cards with "Current Grades" then you will not see this change.  Please change your Report Card to pull Historical Grades to see the changes you have made.
